The song was written around the drum rhythm, which was based on the guitar riff at the start of the solo. The title is taken from the Pink Floyd track "Have a Cigar". It tells the tale of LQR: every year it's getting bigger despite music critics and a though music market. Still waiting for that gravy train :)
lyrics
We play riffs and reels in different places,
The show ain’t over till fatty has sung.
They just stare with their masked faces,
They’re taking their poison, we played and won.
The digital lords made it all too easy,
Our beacon of skulls is reaching for you.
Our daily hits still are increasing,
We’re coming on strong, right out of the blue.
Hey Hey, Hooray (HOORAY), we’re riding on the gravy train.
Faster and faster, full speed ahead.
Let’s hear a: HELL YEAH!, never take a turnpike.
Taking the long run, on the gravy train.
Don’t lose your cool, keep it together.
Solomon’s mines are so far away.
All your dreams can fall and be shattered.
We’re living the dream but are much awake.
Martin and Paul, BUILD SOLID BASES.
Marky’s voice, ENCHANTING THE FLOCK
Timmy and John, SOUND DECORATORS.
Bill’s wall of sound, HARD AS A ROCK
Hey Hey, Hooray (HOORAY), we’re riding on the gravy train.
Faster and faster, full speed ahead.
Let’s hear a: HELL YEAH!, never take a turnpike.
Taking the long run, on the gravy train.
Judge Dredd gave us the stink eye.
It’s beer and titties, they write and tell.
Just like “the Catcher in the Rye”.
Beer and titties are easy to sell.
Hey Hey, Hooray (HOORAY), we’re riding on the gravy train.
Faster and faster, full speed ahead.
Let’s hear a: HELL YEAH!, never take a turnpike.
Taking the long run, on the gravy train.
Hey Hey, Hooray (HOORAY), we’re riding on the gravy train.
Faster and faster, full speed ahead.
Let’s hear a: HELL YEAH!, never take a turnpike.
Taking the long run, on our gravy train.

How does a bottle of whiskey taste if you have six true musicians doing their thing? How's rock 'n' roll as these same guys mix their passion for Irish folk, steaming Americana and solid rock to a swinging cocktail?
Celtic-inspired instrumentation, delicate harmonies, and reflective lyrics abound on the sisterly indie-folk duo's debut album. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 26, 2023
