BOXPOK
Left september seventy one and eight
to disarm and then reintegrate
To look for trains and love along the tracks
culture, war and Hermann maurice saxe
I took my time evading the police
Climbed a bridge with all the Japanese
I saw the loc appearing down below
It’s one of sixty five as you may know
CHORUS:
Boxpok! My kind of wheel!
Big and black and solid steel!
Fed the fire upon the fire crate
and poked it up so we would not be late
Kept in mind the Ninety seven’s fate
while heading for the elevated straight
Contrary to what you might expect
No explosions, accidents or wrecks
All was well when we were driving back
and said “Hello” to Gerald on the track
CHORUS:
Boxpok! My kind of wheel!
Big and black and solid steel!
BRIDGE:
Different wheels on different trains, a different feeling you cannot explain
Not any old wheel at any old time can carry her down ‘cross the East German line
The bigger she is, the more she can take, built for the ages and never to break oohh!!!
No, she will not blow, ‘cause Billy was shown how to keep up a fire a long time ago
Spiraling out of the valley below, one eye on the gauge and one eye on the road
That curious chime whines in the climb and sings to the rhythm in Boxpok time
CHORUS:
Boxpok! My kind of wheel!
Left september seventy one and eight

Pinocchio

PINOCCHIO
In Italy there lived a man
He sang “O sole mio”
He made a toy, a little boy
and he called him: Pinocchio
Pinocchio grew up to be
a big old maffioso
A tailored suit, a girl so cute
cannone grandioso
CHORUS:
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi
He got shot a hundred times
but bullets could not harm him
He crashed his Lamborghini
and he still looked very charming
His heavy drinking, and constant fights
His tendency of going AWOL
made old Gepetto realise
that he’d rather have a table
CHORUS:
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi
He chopped him up and cut him down
He was a craftsman, oh so able
but the nose of Pinocchio
made the table quite unstable
CHORUS:
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi
Cappuccino, macaroni
Oh Gepetto, Berlusconi

LIFE
Autumn is here
the leaves swirling restlessly
colours of spring did fade in the breeze
All that was dear
’s eluded my rigid hands
All that is left ’s a quiet unease
CHORUS:
Life, it was good, when most of it
still lay before me
As I look back over burning ships
and wasted glory
I can’t help but wonder
where it all went wrong
Slowly going under
It all seems so long ago
Don’t let me go
The night is so dark and I’m
sure to be lost, alone in the storm
‘Though we both know
the shadows are falling
just hold me and say that I can come home

MUFFINS & COFFINS
All of your life they tell you what’s bad
Teachers, the church, your Mom and your Dad
It’s a trick of the devil, to lead you astray
Part of the great soul robbery game
Drinking and smoking and pornography
Hey, it’s alright with me
CHORUS:
Murder and torture, arson and flames
Rape, only not on a regular basis
Kidnapping, carjacking, kicking a kid
Jay walking, stalking the dog of my neighbour
Mailing a letter with not enough postage
Singing a song that doesn’t rhyme
Finding the essence ’s not easy to do
Angels and demons they keep calling you
Searching for guidance, a glimmer of light
Trying to find what is wrong and what’s right
But my attempts cause my doubts to increase
So I’ll do as I please
CHORUS:
Murder and torture, arson and flames
Rape, only not on a regular basis
Kidnapping, carjacking, kicking a kid
Jay walking, stalking the dog of my neighbour
Mailing a letter with not enough postage
Singing a song that doesn’t rhyme
BRIDGE:
Take what you want and do what you like
When you least expect it, epiphany strikes
LQR ’s your saviour in your hour of despair
You still won’t know, but at least you won’t care
CHORUS:
Murder and torture, arson and flames
Rape, only not on a regular basis
Kidnapping, carjacking, kicking a kid
Jay walking, stalking the dog of my neighbour
Mailing a letter with not enough postage
Singing a song that doesn’t rhyme
